Choosing the right celebrant is a very important decision in the planning of your wedding. I offer an obligation free meeting to help you decide if you’re both comfortable and I’m the right Celebrant for you. I want you to feel confident in entrusting me to take care of your ceremony and the official undertakings that go with this milestone event.
I can be flexible with days, locations and activities…getting me to jump out of a plane might be stretching it, but please feel free to ask me if you have something unique in mind! From the Gold Coast to the Sunshine Coast and Hinterlands, I perform ceremonies in some spectacularly beautiful places.
With so much to do, I’ve created a step by step guide as to how everything works with me as your Celebrant.
After confirming if I am the right fit for you, we run through all the various documents that need to be filled out and submitted. I’ll walk you through this process – detailing the areas that you are responsible for and clearly outlining what I’ll be doing for you. Following this, we get down to the exciting part of planning your actual wedding ceremony!
Working together, I’ll provide you with resources and templates that may assist you in your decision making. You may choose any style of wedding – from the traditional to modern, fun and make-believe or a ceremony that embraces your culture, religion, family, children, pets or particular passions.
After our initial meeting we will have regular phone and/or email contact to finalise your ceremony and wedding details. I’ll provide you with a full run sheet of the proceedings once you have decided upon and approved your ceremony.
As a licensed celebrant I am obliged to provide marrying couples with information on pre-wedding and marital education, however you are not obligated to undertake this education.
At least one month prior to the wedding a Notice of Intention to Marry (NOIM) form must be completed by the couple and requires me, as your Celebrant to sight various documents. Dependent on your personal circumstances, these may include birth certificates, passports, driver’s licence, divorce and death certificates.
A Statutory Declaration attesting to your eligibility to legally marry is also completed. These documents, along with the Register signed on the day of the marriage, are forwarded by me (within fourteen days of the wedding) to the relevant State office of Births, Deaths and Marriage for formal recording. This is where you will also obtain your legal record of marriage.

On The Day
I arrive at least thirty minutes prior to the wedding to ensure everything is in place and ready to proceed. I confer with the photographer and make sure guests are ready, comfortable and able to see and hear the ceremony. I am here to support you throughout the ceremony (it can be very emotional!) and the signing of your documents. At the end of your ceremony you will be provided with your Marriage Certificate and a keepsake of your wedding ceremony and vows.
You will find my fees reasonable and include travel up to 100km anywhere from the Brisbane Metro region – a fee may incur for travel further than this distance. A traditional ceremony is $750 with smaller, private ceremonies available at a reduced cost by negotiation. Naming ceremonies are $250, commitment ceremonies and vow renewals start at$500 – all include the preparation and delivery of the ceremony and keepsake documents. A deposit of $100 is required at the time of booking with final payment to be made fourteen days prior to your marriage.
Please note your deposit is not refundable. Other pre-paid fees may be refunded if notice is received 28 days prior to the wedding, less any additional costs incurred in preparation for the wedding.

Marrying From Overseas
Brisbane is a beautiful location for a wedding. By engaging me as your Celebrant, I’ll be able to help you choose where and how you would like to marry.
If you are marrying a partner on an overseas visa or coming from overseas to be married I will assist you by ensuring you are fully informed of your rights and obligations under these circumstances. While marriage in Australia is recognised in most countries it is recommended that you check with the authority in your country of origin prior to marrying in Australia.
